Our Impact

We have a profound impact on the community by operating two separate facets of the organisation simultaneously, namely the public facing through the operation of our chapters and the corporate facing by giving an integral experience and exposure to a corporate work environment and culture through volunteering.

The public wing interacts directly with the community and offers community services through programs.

Periodic programs and flagship events for the advancement of a value based education system can be accessed via the Chapters page.

The Value We Create

One of the most impactful opportunities provided by BSAPAC is the chance for individuals to engage in cross-cultural collaboration across borders, facilitated by its advanced digital platform that is tailored to community leaders and corporate teams. Through its intranet and seamless messaging capabilities, the platform fosters collaboration, while its 24/7 connectivity and mobility enables users to connect from anywhere in the world.
Furthermore, this innovative platform enables users to expand their global mindset and network, leveraging Microsoft technologies and Canva as a design platform for the creation of social media graphics and presentations. BSAPAC also provides hardware, including computers for its board members and community representatives, to support and equip with the right technology. Additionally, the extensive adoption of Google’s technologies and social media platforms have significantly contributed to the charity’s growth and digital presence.

Volunteerism and Contributions at BSAPAC

We are pleased to announce that our operating environment is fully supported by a dedicated team of volunteers. Our volunteers are categorized into two wings, the ‘Corporate wing’ and the ‘Public wing.’ The Corporate wing plays a vital role in enabling the public operations of our charity. Composed of highly skilled and dedicated individuals, these volunteers bring strategic talent and professional expertise to our organization, volunteering their time to make a difference in society. We affectionately refer to this team as the ‘Corporate Sharana team,’ a testament to the following vachana:
“ಕಂದಮ್ಮ, ಕರವೊಲದು ಕಾರ್ಯ ಶರಣರೆ, ಕರವೊಲದು ನಡೆಯುತಿಹ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಶರಣರೆ.”
Translated as “Oh mother, our work is supported by Sharana’s who work without any expectation or returns.” We are fortunate and humbled by the service of these volunteers, who come from a wide range of multicultural and multidisciplinary backgrounds. In just under two years of operation, our Corporate Sharanas have invested more than $1 million dollars, resulting in smooth operations, expansion, and encouragement of our public-facing wing.
Our Public Officers are representatives of the community, serving as community leaders who follow and practice the Guru Basava Philosophy as a way of life. These leaders represent either an incorporated or an unincorporated section of the public. Prior to BSAPAC, services to Guru Basava were confined to the field of philosophical knowledge and visual and performance art. The activities were conservative in style and mainly focused on the celebration of Guru Basava’s birthday.
However, BSAPAC has opened charity services ಕಾಯಕವೇ ಕೈಲಾಸ Kāyakavē kailāsa in the fields of Technology, Digital Marketing, Finance, Governance and Administration, Art, Research and Education, Digital Engagement and Enablement, International Relations, Law, to name a few. The BSAPAC Board of Directors oversees the operations of the public and corporate wings, bringing a unique combination of skillsets to provide governance on the corporate and community style of operations.
BSAPAC has also opened opportunities for people to serve anytime from anywhere in almost any field pertaining to ‘Advancement of Education’ as per our service category awarded by the ACNC. We are thrilled to have such a committed team of volunteers, and we look forward to continuing to work together to advance our mission and make a difference in society.

What Matters Most (our Corporate Sharans and Public Officers)

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the volunteers who have made valuable contributions to the inauguration event. Your tireless efforts and dedication towards our cause have enabled us to achieve new heights.
Our long-serving volunteers and leaders have created a culture where everyone feels at home, and we work together as a team to drive change and strive for innovation. As stated in the Guru Basava Philosophy, “We do not seek royal wealth or possessions, but an ounce of service from our volunteers is worth more than any treasure.”
We are deeply grateful for the hard work and commitment of our volunteers, who have demonstrated values of integrity and compassion towards each other. We are proud of their interactions with key community leaders and ministers, including federal ministers, in various forums such as LinkedIn Fireside Chat, Microsoft Reactor, etc.
We would also like to express our special thanks to the volunteers from the Brisbane Chapter who generously purchased high-quality laptops for our Chapters. Their efforts saved us a considerable amount, allowing us to put the funds for good use.
As a charity owned and run by 100% volunteers, we understand that we may fall short in acknowledging everyone who makes a significant difference in the growth of this charity. Nevertheless, we are grateful for single one of our volunteers who have played a critical role in shaping and establishing BSAPAC the Charity it is today.
